Bloguin- MLB Power Rankings May Edition
Once we've polled our esteemed MLB bloggers to see their thoughts on how things are shaking out this season. Before we get to the rankings here are some things that stood out:
- The Rays got all but one first place vote, giving them the highest average ranking ever given thus far.
- All but one of the teams ranked 11-16 hail from the NL and are floating in between playoff contender and just another 500 team.
- The Reds and the Rangers were the two biggest movers, moving up 13 and 15 respectively.
- 4 teams with losing records are ranked ahead of the Nationals who have a winning record and the Red Sox are 7 spots ahead despite having a worse record.
- The AL take up 6 of the top 10 spots and 3 out of the top 4.
