Written by Baseball Network on 06 April 2010.

power rankings hockey feature

Though out the season, we'll check with our baseball blogs to see how they stack all of the Major League Teams. Here is our innaugural opening week rankings. Before we get to them, here are some things that stood out:

- The Yankees open up at number one and were ranked no worse than third across all of the ballots. In fact only 3 voters did not have them as the top team.

- The AL East has 3 of the top 5 teams in this week's rankings. Let's see how many times these 3 flip flop through out the season.

- The Dodgers are the only MLB team who made the playoffs last year to not return in this year's top 8.

- There is a tight race among the teams considered playoff bubble teams. Teams 7-11 were only seperated by an average ranking of 1.3.

- Out of the top 9 teams, the AL outnumbers the NL 6-3.

Without further ado......
