2009 BlogPoll NBA Power Rankings: Pre-Season
Through out the year, we'll ask our esteemed Bloguin Basketball blogs to vote on the NBA from top to bottom. The season just started tonight, but we wanted to get rankings of everyone's thoughts, as a snapshot prior to the games that actually count.
- Reigning NBA Champion Los Angeles Lakers got #1 overall votes from every blog, except for one. *Whistles* Move along... Doesn't matter who didn't vote them #1. *Whistles*
- The Boston Celtics grab the #2 spot, in a year that very well could be a rematch of the NBA Finals from just two seasons ago.
- As expected, the Cavs, Magic, and Spurs round out the top 5.
- There seems to be no real consensus for the mid-tier teams, as the squads ranked 12-19 all had a relatively close average vote.
- Only 2 teams received a first place vote, while 6 teams received a last place vote.
- I will go out on a limb and bet the TWolves are never ranked in the Top 5 all season long.
