BlogPoll NHL Power Rankings- January
Once again we've asked our esteemed Bloguin sites to rank the NHL from top to bottom. Below are some of the things that really stood out:
- Both teams from last year's Stanley Cup are not in the top 7.
- Rankings movement was pretty nominal except for a handul of teams making big moves including Philadelphia moving up 10 spots and Edmonton, Los Angeles, and Atlanta tumbling 10+ spots.
- The Western conference is performing better than the Eastern conference at this midpoint of the season with 7 of the top 11 spots.
- Chicago's average ranking of 1.4 is the heighest ranking a first place team has had in the power rankings.
