I'm sure most have heard about the famous bong-hitting photos of Phelps that got "leaked" recently. Well, USA Swimming has decided to do something about it.

The guy was stupid to get on camera hitting the wacky-tobaccy, in his situation. But I'm sure his opponents have no problem with him getting doped up all the time... I can't see it to be a performance enhancing substance.

Yes, it was pretty silly of him to do that in the public eye, esp in this day and age where everyone at that frat party have cameras on their phones.

However, he's what, 24... give me a break, most people his age would have tried it at some point in their life. He's young, he'll learn from this, and it won't hurt his performance going forward.

He won 8 gold medals at the last olympics... he deserves to let his hair down.

Yeah, I agree... especially since he was doing something that wasn't "performance enhancing"! Sounds like a bunch of people involved in that incident have been arrested now.. crazy! This sort of drug use goes on all the time and unhindered.

What do you think about Dwain Chambers being readmitted to the Olympics? Think he should be allowed? He has served his sentence many would say...

Nope, Dwain Chambers should be done for olympic running, he cheated, he admitted it, that's enough for a lifetime ban!

Btw, he failed at both American Football and Rugby League in the UK too

There's a sob-story interview with Chambers in today's free Sport magazine over here... he says he made a mistake, didn't know it was performance enhancing, but in the next paragraph, he did it because he was trying to keep up with the other guys who were taking performance enhancing stuff.

His argument is that British Athletics (or whatever they're called) banned him for 2 years so he should be able to come back now... I don't know why they didn't ban him for life. The Olympics will never let him back I'm sure.

His effort in Rugby League was absolutely rubbish!!!
He admitted he didn't even know the rules before he set foot on the field... man, why even bother? Such a publicity stunt...
