Yesterday afternoon, a tweet went out from a Rucker Park twitter account
Its official.... Kevin Durant will be playing at Rucker Park tonight. First come first served. No tickets!
And with that, the stage was set. Kevin Durant's barnstorming tour of America's summer leagues was about to include Harlem's famed Rucker Park. And he made the most of it. Dropping 66 points (the last nine of which you see in that video). In the process, KD picked up the nickname "I Am", and had an experience he'll never forget. Afterwards, he tweeted:
No lie, jus had one of the best times of my life at Rucker park..wow! I love NY...Harlem waddup..
KD was 9-11 from deep, and he fell eight points shy of the Rucker court record. And his team won... unlike some NBA'ers dropping 60 in summer league. Of course, the camera phones were out in force, so here are some more videos from KD's night at The Rucker.
