Say you are a short, unathletic, reporter who is clearly not in shape and like to cover Mixed Martials Arts. What would be the last thing you would want to do?
If you said spar with a 6'9", 250 lbs., professional NBA athlete who is training to become an MMA fighter then you would be correct.
However, that never crossed the mind of reporter Jason Sereno when he asked (via larrybrownsports.com) Denver Nuggets' Al Harrington to enter the octagon for a quick sparring session. Jason, who openly admits he is a novice at MMA, clearly tries to throw some jabs but it is safe to say he does not have any reach advantage.
Although, Harrington double-checks with Sereno about his request but it seems it totally fell upon deaf ears.
It's a good thing the reporter had that head gear on. You know, safety first and not common sense.
