Shoe sales might be suffering during the lockout, but that won't stop shoe companies from releasing new shoes and selling them to the masses.
Dwight Howard's new adiPower is set to hit the markets with a suggested retail price of $100. Howard probably explains the shoe best:
Yeah, that about says it all. As only Howard could say it too. Shoes are pretty crazy technologically now as this thing has, it looks like, built in ankle support and some good structure to help layers jump and move. Lots of flexibility too.
So when will Howard don his new shoes for the first time? I would bet it comes next Sunday at UCF Arena in Orlando during Dwight's charity basketball game.
Howard released the names of the players who will participate in the charity event. The guest list includes former All Stars Anfernee Hardaway, Vince Carter, Steve Francis and Gilbert Arenas. And a good chunk of the Magic's current roster will be there too.
Howard will play as well, obviously. The proceeds from this game will benefit Dwight's D12 Foundation.
Up, up and away.
