GIF: Jeff Skinner's spectacular dive against Pittsburgh
There are dives and then there's whatever Jeff Skinner was trying to accomplish above. With seemingly no contact on his legs, Skinner's feet propelled out from under him, sending him sprawling to the ice. Upon further review, it's unclear what he was actually doing. At first it looks like his stick might have caught the Penguin skating by, causing Skinner to lose his balance, but it's clear his feet go flying into the air prior to any contact.
What did he earn for his gracious, if not puzzling flop? Two minutes in the penalty box for diving.

I have to assume he just plain lost his balance. It certainly looks amusing, though. Just glad nobody was in position to get hit by the suddenly flying skates.
