1. Yes, Boise State's gym is named Taco Bell Arena. Taco Bell is even kind enough to include the text 'Boise State University' in the logo. Of course, Boise State owns the arena, so having their name in 8-pt font while TACO BELL goes for 32-point font seems a bit odd. The arena will retain that name through at least 2019 as the University signed a 15-year deal with Taco Bell in 2004. Considering that Boise State is winless in the Mountain West we could point out that at their arena you can get fake, crappy Mexican food to go with your crappy basketball, but we're above that at Run the Floor. I'm sure their shitty fake food is very good.

2. Mike Moser has played 22 games this season. In 16 of those games - including the past six - he's recorded double-figure rebounds. On Wednesday he set his career high with 21. Fifteen of those came on the defensive end where Moser is 9th nationally and grabbing 28.1% of opponents misses when he's on the floor. It's no wonder he left Grant High in Portland as its all-time leading rebounder. Of course, he committed to UCLA out of high school, and the Bruins don't have anyone in the top-200 in defensive rebounding. But then he didn't commit to Dave Rice at UNLV either, he committed to Lon Kruger who left for Oklahoma. And the Sooners don't have anyone in the top-200 in defensive rebounding either. But Dave Rice does, regardless of how he got him.

3. The Runnin' Rebels made 13-34 (38%) 3-pointers. They attempted 69 field goals on the night, so 49.3% of them came from beyond the arc. On the season UNLV attempts 38.5% of their shots from deep, which is 53rd nationally. They make 38%, exactly like last night.

4. The Broncos have two players who are elite at grabbing offensive boards, but hardly anyone recognizes this because neither player has appeared in even half the team's minutes. One of them is junior center Kenny Buckner who played his first two seasons at the College of Southern Idaho. On the season Buckner has more offensive rebounds than defensive rebounds. Buckner's, 12 boards, including 5 on the offensive end, was a major reason Boise State was almost able to pull the upset. The reward he gets is that his name wasn't even mentioned in the recap on the Boise State athletics website.

5. The final score was 77-72, in a 76 possession game. The Broncos entered the game averaging a measly 0.90 points per possession in conference play. Against UNLV they scored 0.95, which is a significant improvement, especially considering UNLV has the 37th ranked defense in the nation. Meanwhile, UNLV scored 1.01 per possession after averaging 1.15 per trip in their three previous Mountain West game. Only TCU scored fewer vs Boise State.
