Let's talk about this photo real quick. That guy in the hat and neck beard is in awe. Dude in the glasses is like "ohhhhh." Those girls in the green shirts are not impressed AT ALL. This is a great photo.

(9) Michigan State 85 (21-4, 10-2) Northwestern 70 (12-13, 5-7)

The Spartans used a 16-5 first half run to break this one open. Adreian Payne scored 8 of Michigan St's first 13 of the second half. Sparty slowly broke the lead wider until a 10-2 run got the lead to 19. Payne led 4 Spartans in double figures with 20. Payne was 6 of 11, 2 of 4 from 3 and 6 of 8 from the line. He also had 14 rebounds. Denzel Valentine had 16, which was fitting. Gary Harris had 14 on 6 of 13 shooting. JerShon Cobb put up 22 on 5 of 11 from 3 for the Wildcats. Drew Crawford scored 18 but on 7 of 17.

(18) Creighton 68 (20-4, 10-2) Butler 63 (12-13, 2-11)

The Blue Jays have not been impressive at all the last 4 games. The Blue Jays didn't score for over 3 minutes late. They had a 3 point lead wiped out when Khyle Marshall made a layup with 1:15 left to put Butler ahead. Just like he has all his career, Doug McDermott bailed out Creighton with a 3. Butler missed a layup for the lead, Austin Chatman (9pts) hit a pair of free throws, then Butler missed a 3 for the tie on a not great look by Kellen Dunham. Chatman hit 2 more to ice it. McDermott had a game high 26 on 11 of 19, 3 of 5. Will Artino had 11 and 10 for the Blue Jays. Kellen Dunham had 16 on 6 of 13, 3-8 from 3.

(21) Wisconsin 78 (20-5, 7-5) Minnesota 70 (16-9, 5-7)

The Golden Gophers went over 6 minutes without a field goal in the first half, lost their lead and never led again. Minnesota scored 18 points the last 5 minutes. They gave up 16 so it didn't help that much. Wisconsin was money from the foul line, hitting 30 of 36. Frank Kaminsky was 9-9 for over half of his 17 points. Ben Brust broke out his little shooting slump with 20 on 5-7, 4-4, 6-8 at the line. Brust and Kaminsky each had 6 rebounds. Nigel Hayes added 15 off the bench. Andre Hollins had 22 for the Gophers on 6 of 12, 4 of 6, 6 of 8. Malik Smith scored 14 in 16 minutes.

ACC

Georgia Tech 74 (13-12, 4-8) Boston College 71 (6-18, 2-9)

This game had a wild finish. Tech cut the lead to 1 with 69 seconds left when Marcus Georges-Hunt hit a pair of free throws. Daniel Miller blocked a BC layup attempt. After a timeout, Georges-Hunt scored a layup. Oliver Hanlan hit a jumper with 3 seconds left for BC. But Georges-Hunt hit a 3 with a foul at the buzzer for the win. Just like the Syracuse game last night, BC called timeout before the play. It cost them dearly as well.

Marcus Georges-Hunt scored 15 points. Daniel Miller had 18 for Tech. Oliver Hanlan scored 21 for BC.

SEC

Missouri 86 (17-7, 5-6) Arkansas 85 (15-9, 4-7)

Missouri was up 83-75 before Arkansas went on a 10-0 run to take the lead. After a Jordan Clarkson free throw cut the lead to 1, Rashad Madden turned the ball over for the Razorbacks. Jabari Brown hit a runner in the paint for the game winner. Madden missed a pretty good look in the final seconds. In the battle of Frank Haith vs Road Arkansas, Road Arkansas prevailed. Jordan Clarkson scored 27 for Mizzou on 8 of 15, 11 of 13 at the line. Brown was just 5 of 15 from the field, but hit the game winner and 14 of 15 at the line for 25 points. Rashad Madden had a team high 17 for Arky on 4 of 12, 8 of 10 from the line.

South Carolina 65 (9-15, 2-9) Vanderbilt 59 (13-10, 5-6)

PAC 12

UCLA 92 (19-5, 8-3) Colorado 74 (18-7, 7-5)

This was a close game until the Bruins broke it open in the second half with the 3 ball. UCLA hit 11 of 22 overall. Bryce Alfrord hit 4 of 5 as a part of his 14 point effort. Kyle Anderson had 22 points on 7 of 12, 2-2, 6-7, with 11 assists to 1 turnover and 7 rebounds. Jordan Adams had 17-7-7-3 steals. Adams was 0-5 from 3. Askia Booker had a career high 12 assists for Colorado to go along with 16 points. Booker was just 6 of 16 from the field though. Josh Scott scored 20 on 8 of 12 shooting.

Utah 79 (17-7, 6-6) USC 71 (10-14, 1-10)

This was the first road win of the year for Utah. Delon Wright had 20. The rest of his teammates went 10 of 19 from 3. That'll win games.

BIG EAST

St John's 68 (16-9, 6-6) Seton Hall 67 (13-12, 4-8)

The Red Storm held the Pirates without a point for the last 3:10. That allowed them to go on a 5-0 run to win the game. Chris Obekpa, a career 19 of 46 at the line, hit one of two freebies for the win. Sir'Dominic Pointer made 2 free throws and assisted on a JaKarr Sampson dunk to get us to the tie. Obekpa and Pointer each had 10. Fuquan Edwin scored 25 for Seton Hall on 8 of 18, 2 of 10, 7 of 7 shooting. He had 6 boards and 4 steals as well.

WCC

Gonzaga 83 (22-4, 12-1) Pepperdine 68 (14-12, 7-7)

The Bulldogs got back on the sunny side of the scoreboard following the Memphis loss on Saturday night. The Bulldogs shot 52.5% and hit 10 of 24 from distance. David Stockton and Kevin Pangos each had 18 points. Przemek Karnowski had 17-7-4 assists.

Pacific 89 (13-10, 4-8) BYU 82 (17-9, 9-4)

This was a pretty awful loss for BYU. The Tigers shot 52%, hitting 10 of 21 from 3. That's not good defense.

St Mary's 69 (19-7, 9-4) San Diego 57 (13-14, 4-10)

CONFERENCE USA

FAU 71 (10-15, 5-5) UTEP 69 (18-7, 8-2)

The Blazers hit 53% from the field. 11 of those were 3 pointers. CJ Washington had 21 and Chad Frazier had 20 and 10 assists to 1 turnover. The duo combined for 8 of 17 from 3. USM shot 36.8% overall, 2 of 16 from 3.

Middle Tennessee 71 (18-7, 8-2) Tulane 44 (13-12, 5-5)

Middle Tennessee and Louisiana Tech join the two losers for a 4 way tie atop the league. Shawn Jones had 17-10-6 blocks in the win.

This loss knocks FGC a half game back of Mercer for the league lead. The Buccaneers knocked down 12 of 30 from 3. Rashawn Rembert had 31 on 10 of 20, 6 of 12, 5 of 6. Bernard Thompson had 23 for Gulf Coast.

Weber St 75 (14-7, 11-2) Southern Utah 55 (1-21, 0-13)

This went about as you expect from glancing at the records. Davion Berry had 23 for the Big Sky leaders, who shot 60.5% from the field and 10 of 17 from 3.

Northern Colorado 89 (14-8, 8-5) Montana 86 (12-10, 7-6) – OT

Michael Weisner of Montana hit a 3 with 67 seconds left that would send the game to OT. Tate Unruh scored 5 straight in the OT period to assure Bear victory. He had 8.

Northern Arizona 65 (11-13, 8-5) Portland St 63 (11-11, 6-7)

Kris Yanku made a layup in the closing seconds for the Lumberjack victory.

The Bruins had a lot of trouble putting this one way, as you can tell. They were eventually able to when Tennessee St just ran out of time. JJ Mann had 21 for Belmont. Patrick Miller had a game high 23 fro the Tigers. MJ Rhett had 19 rebounds for them as well.

This game was 68-59 with 5 minutes left before UALR closed on a 13-4 run to send it into OT. Josh Hagins hit a 3 with 48 seconds left for that. Hagins scored 4 points in the last 26 seconds of OT, highlighted by a pair of free throws with 2 seconds left, to send it to double OT. A 10-2 Cajun run in OT, with 7 straight by Bryant Mbamalu (14 pts), was more than enough to end this wild one. Josh Hagins had a game high 24 for UALR. Elfrid Payton had 23 for ULL.

This one went into OT when UTPA scored the last 5. Shaquille Hines hit 2 free throws with 1:18 left to send it to OT eventually. Chicago St tied OT with a layup with 42 seconds remaining, but Shaquille Boga came down and drilled a 3 for the win. He had 16 points.
