The Cyclones have won 3 in a row, highlighted by Melvin Ejim's 48 on Saturday. West Virginia is coming off a tough loss at Kansas. The Mountaineers are facing their third ranked team in a row. That doesn't stop their ranked team streak because they play Texas on Saturday. This should be a quailty matchup of the inside duo of Ejim and Georges Niang against the guard heavy Mountaineers led by Juwan Staten.
(7) Kansas at Kansas State - ESPN
The Sunflower state teams each won over the weekend. Kansas has won a pair since being defeated by Texas. Kansas State has alternated wins and losses over their last 4. This is a big game for the Wildcats as they are one of three teams in the Big 12 with 4 losses. The teams played once this season. Kansas demolished K-State in Lawrence 86-60. Andrew Wiggins had 22 on 7 of 13, while Wayne Seldon Jr had 20. Kansas shot 56%. Marcus Foster, who had 34 over the weekend, was just 3-12 for 7 points in the first contest.
Maryland at (17) Virginia
Virginia has been one of the most surprising teams in the country. At 10-1 in the ACC, they are just half a game behind Syracuse. Maryland has won 3 of 4, the latest being a win over FSU on Saturday. Maryland has played three ranked teams this season and lost to all three (UConn, Ohio St, Pitt). Dez Wells for Maryland, 16.6 points, and Malcolm Brogdon for UVA, 15.3 points, are the main players to watch.
