College basketball recruiting is all about showing the love. Coaches text. They write have letters written. They call. They show up at your games.
But 2015 C Stephen Zimmerman – who is a top-5 player in his class – arrived home today to find 96 letters addressed to him, and 86 of those were from one school: UNLV.
Of course, all this cost UNLV was $39.56 in postage and some interns' time. But when you're dealing with kids, these types of things can make a difference. And even if it doesn't make a difference, it's a good reminder for Zimmerman that his hard work is propelling him in the right direction.
