VIDEO: Austin Jackson saves the game for the Tigers

Written by Joe Lucia on .

Austin Jackson of the Detroit Tigers is one of the best fielders in baseball, yet he doesn't get talked about all the much for making extraordinary catches. Well in Thursday's Tigers-Blue Jays matinee, Jackson made one. In the tenth inning of a 2-2 game and Mike McCoy on second base, Toronto rookie Anthony Gose hit a sinking line drive to the right center field gap. Jackson got on his horse, dove, and somehow came up with the ball, preventing McCoy from scoring and keeping the game tied at two. After the Tigers didn't score in the tenth, you could make a claim that Jackson legitimately saved the game for the Tigers.
