VIDEO: Fan catches foul ball with hat
During the amazing Vin Scully tribute night at Dodger Stadium on Thursday, it was a game filled with offensive struggles for the white and blue. With none out in the ninth inning, Hanley Ramirez laced a ball down the left field line that hooked foul. A fan reached over the short Dodger Stadium fence and managed to snare the foul ball...with his hat. You always hear people tell you to use your hat if a ball is coming at you if you don't have a glove, but this is the first time I have actually seen someone grab a ball with their hat.
Ramirez would go on to single later in the at bat, but the Dodgers didn't get any runs, and ended up losing 2-0.
