Brandon McCarthy's new drivers license has a problem
Newly-signed Arizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Brandon McCarthy has an issue with his new Texas drivers license. The photo of the license, tweeted by his wife Amanda with McCarthy's name and address covered, shows the pitcher listed as 6'7"(matching his MLB.com player card) with hazel eyes...and his gender is listed as female.
Despite the cloudy nature of the F on the license, this appears to be legitimate. With as many holograms that are on licenses, it's probable that there's just one of them on top of the F that is making the picture come out funny.
At the end of the day, this is probably just a typo by someone at the Texas DOT...or a prank by a Rangers fan angry at McCarthy's A's taking the AL West title away from the Rangers this year. At any rate, it's worth a chuckle.
