Adam Greenberg had his one last at bat on Tuesday

Written by Joe Lucia on .

Adam Greenberg got his one more at bat on Tuesday in the Marlins game against the Mets. Unfortunately for Greenberg, he had to face Mets ace RA Dickey. Greenberg took the first pitch for a strike, and swung through the next two for a Dickey strikeout. At any rate, the whole scene was very moving, including Greenberg coming up to the plate to "Dream On" and getting a standing ovation from the crowd at Marlins Park, a standing ovation after his at bat finished, and fistbumps and hugs from nearly everyone in the Marlins dugout. Say what you want to say about the Miami organization, but this was a classy move by them.
