Josh Hamilton bashes a homer into the second deck

Written by Joe Lucia on .

Rangers center fielder Josh Hamilton is heading towards free agency this winter, and he's doing everything in his power to make sure that he gets paid. in the third inning of Friday's Rangers game with the Seattle Mariners, Hamilton obliterated this Hisashi Iwakuma pitch into the second deck in right field at the Ballpark in Arlington for his baseball-leading 42nd homer. 42 homers, and he hit a total of eight during June and July...if he showed up for those two months, maybe he could be giving Mike Trout a run for the AL MVP award.

The estimated distance on the smash was 417 feet (which seems very short to me), and it was his sixth homer in September...and the Rangers still have 18 games left this year.
