VIDEO: Toronto's Chad Jenkins catches ball, then catches his glove

Written by Garrett Wilson on .

The great thing about baseball is that you see things you have never seen before all the time even though the game has been played since forever.  Today's example is brought to us by Blue Jays pitcher Chad Jenkins whose cat-like reflexes allowed him to catch a scorching comebacker only to have it knock his glove off only to then catch his glove as it flew through the air with the ball safely stored inside.  See the oddity for yourself:

Yup, you're out Curtis Granderson.  You hit a ball so hard that it blew the pitcher's glove off and you are still out.  The best part though is how Jenkins cooly walked off the field after the play as if he does that all the time.

Baseball is unfair, fantastic and weird all at the same time.
