Suck For Luck Race By Colts And Rams Could Spark NFL Free-For-All

Andrew Luck

While several teams around the league had to throw out their Kleenex from the tears due to Matt Barkley rejoining USC, there is new hope in the Suck For Luck sweepstakes.

The impossible has happened and the Colts have now won back to back games. The Colts currently sit at 2-13 along with the St Louis Rams. Despite the fact that the Colts could have had a horseshoe on Andrew Luck's head weeks ago, this new winning streak has them one win away from playing their way out of Andrew Luck. It would be hard to imagine an NFL team would actually throw a game, but if there was ever a time to do so it would be this week when the Colts play the Jags.

If--and it’s a HUGE if--the Colts do in fact win their third in a row it could set up the Rams for the first 2012 NFL Draft pick overall and the option of drafting Andrew Luck. Assuming the Rams lands the pick they will most likely trade it for a king’s ransom, OR maybe even possibly trade Sam Bradford but the first seems more likely.

If Robert Griffin III (Baylor) declares to the draft, which is still 60/40 that he does, the most likely landing spot would be Cleveland due to the fact they only have 4 wins. As we have told you in past weeks RG3 is an elite prospect. Washington and Miami would still be in play due to trades however it is likely RG3 would be a Brown.

If the trade route is in play for Luck, expect Miami and Washington, who are currently selecting at the end of the top 10, to package huge deals together to hopefully find their next franchise QB.

If the Colts lose, Andrew Luck will be a Colt end of story, but if they win there will be a complete free-for-all.
