Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman wins PED appeal

Written by Shane Clemons on .

Richard Sherman will not be suspended for four games following his successful appeal. Sherman took to Twitter to break the news himself.

The NFL originally suspended Sherman and cornerback Brandon Browner four games for Adderall use, sometimes used as a performance enhancing drug (PED). Initially, both players appealed the suspension, although Browner later changed his mind, and his suspension ends after this Sunday's game against the Rams. One thought is that he served his suspension while Sherman's was being appealed so that the team wouldn't be without both cornerbacks in the playoffs.

In his appeal, Sherman believed that a leaking cup led to a contaminated urine sample, according to NFL.com. With his successful appeal, Sherman will be free to be in action for the remainder of the season.
