Video: Larry Fitzgerald thinks Calvin Johnson is a better fantasy WR option

Written by Shane Clemons on .

Earlier in the day, Larry Fitzgerald appeared on ESPN's Sportscenter, and he was asked by a fan via Twitter whether he should be drafted over Calvin Johnson in a fantasy league, and Fitzgerald surprisingly said no, advising the fan to take the connection of Calvin Johnson and Matthew Stafford over Fitzgerald. He did make a point to mention that the reasoning was that the Cardinals haven't figured out their own quarterback situation yet, so at least we know Larry Fitzgerald doesn't necessarily believe Johnson's the better wide receiver.

I might pick; Justin Blackmon & or Laurent Robinson over him too. A lot to do in the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd rounds: I tried picking QB's first, Running backs, too. Should a top QB go, & then a wide-receiver be next? What's the statistics? Who usually prevails; the guy who picked Drew Breese 1st or Calvin even? Everyone knows there is actually a great stroke of luck that plays a hand in the fantasy game. I would be lucky to have Fitzgerald or Johnson or Johnson, on any of my fantasy teams. I think Fitz man is just as good, Calvin like I said, only get's ahead of Fitz because of size + Quickness.

@ChristopherLanham Pick Blackmon over Fitz? Why? Because Gabbert is that much better than Kolb or Skelton? I don't think Blackmon will have a very good season because of the learning curve associated with the transition to the NFL for wide receivers... and because Gabbert blows.
