NFL week 9 rock stars

For the first time all season, it’s time to put the repeat button on the NFL Rock star jukebox machine as for the 2nd week in row; Doug Martin has the best breakthrough performance of the week. While Martin is still a heavy underdog in the rookie of the year category having to face off against Andrew Luck and RG3, Martin has certainly made a name for himself and entered the conversation. Martin has also gained the respect of the fantasy world as the rookie back is now the #1 ranked RB in fantasy football after 9 weeks. Martins past 2 weeks have been nothing shortly of outstanding.

The number 2 Super Rockstar this week is another rookie. Rookie sensation Andrew Luck has been everything the Colts could have dreamed of and more. Luck broke the rookie passing record this week as he broke down the Dolphins defense several times including countless 3 and longs.  Luck now has his team at 5-3 the same record as Peyton Manning and now sits at 2404 yards on the season the same number as Manning as well. Andrew Luck is the real deal, there is no denying that.

9 tackles and 4 forced fumbles you don’t get much sexier of a stat line than that as a defender.  Tillman has been all over the field this year and is even getting some MVP buzz. Tillman will give Watt a run for his money at defensive player of the year as Tillman has an uncanny ability to just force turnovers. Tillman has become a special player in Chicago.

The young blood continues to strike in this week’s edition of NFL rock stars. As second year stud Randall Cobb did not disappoint again this week. Despite no Greg Jennings, Jordy Nelson forced out of the game, and JerMichael Finely being as useless as Akili Smith, Cobb had no problem getting opening and continuing to prove why Rodgers has so much trust in the kid. Cobb has become a real playmaker in the Green Bay offense.
