The Green Bay Packers proved there that they are just fine this weekend as Aaron Rodgers finds himself a rock star for the first time this season. This week someone of the expected name found themselves in the very select honorable role of being an NFL rock star and there were one or two players that had us caught by surprise.
Aaron Rodgers – 24/37 338 yards 6 TD’S – 17 yards rushing – Hate on Me by Jill Scott
With a 2-3 record people were starting to wonder what happen to the Green Bay Packers. Rodgers a QB many pronounced the best in the league was now being criticized saying his play has dropped. Well Rodgers just had one thing to say to his critics this weekend “SHHHHHHHHHH “.
Rodgers lit up the scoreboard as he threw dart after dart past the Texans defense on route to a huge smack down. Rodgers connected with almost everyone Sunday night and left no doubt there is nothing wrong with the Green Bay Packers.
Jordy Nelson – 9 rec, 121 yards 3 TD’s – Some Nights by Fun
Jordy Nelson had been very quiet this season as he was garnering a lot of attention with Greg Jennings plagued by injuries most of the season. Nelson lifted out of his shell this Sunday seemingly getting open all night including a couple of deep scores finishing with 3 scores.
Shonne Greene – 161 yards rushing – 3 TD’s – Pumped up Kicks by Foster the People
Well, well, well! You still won’t have me sit here and tell you Greene is a solid NFL starting running back but you have to give credit where credit is due and Greene ran all over the Colts. Greene looked like a fast elite running back, something we haven’t seen from him, well ever! We shall see if Greene can follow up this strong performance but I wouldn’t bank on it.
RG3 – 182 yards passing 1 TD – 1 INT – 138 yards rushing 2 TD’s – These Boots were made for walking by Nancy Sinatra
This kid is fun to watch! One week after the NFL world debated if he was fit enough to play after suffering a concussion, RG3 proved he didn’t really care as he showed his explosive speed and didn’t take any shortcuts finding the end zone twice on the ground and once through the air. RG3 has led the Redskins to a formable opponent that is quite hard to prepare for.
Honorable mention: AJ Green, Calvin Johnson, New York Giants offensive line, Jacoby Jones
