"Lets just be friends." Are there any four words men least want to hear from a hot prospect?
Olympian hurdler and virgin princess Lori "LoLo" Jones denied reports by gossip sites that paired her with Detroit Lions DT Ndamukong Suh.
"We are not currently dating," Jones said in a Playbook interview. Um, currently?
Elite athletes travel fly rare air. It comes as no surprise that Jones and Suh may have crossed paths inside a tight social circle. Friendships develop. Guys and gals become buddies and nothing more. Someone caught the two together and made something of it. Jones would say made-up.
Still, by saying not currently dating, Jones implies that once they were. I hope this was just a poor choice of words, because the mental picture of Suh and Jones as an item has a huge "ick" factor that makes it hard to eat my pregame meal.
Suh is better off focusing on a tough outing against the 49ers. The future Mr. Jones must be relieved, too.
