Manning jersey banned in Colorado school

Students attending school in Weld Country District 6 near Denver aren't allowed to wear their brand new Peyton Manning jerseys to school.

The ban may be upsetting to many students and parents, but the rule doesn't target Manning's jersey specifically; it targets his number.

According to WCVB, a spokesperson for the school indicated that the numbers 13, 14, 18, 31, 41 and 81 are banned from school because the numbers are associated with gang activity.

Due to the ban, Brandon Stokley's jersey, Omar Bolden's jersey and Joel Dreessen's jersey are also banned from the school.

The ban will certainly put a cramp in students' style as they try to support their team without violating the rule. May we suggest a Peyton Manning #16 jersey from his time with the Tennessee Volunteers?
