While Ravens fans are buying up championship gear from their local retailers, San Francisco championship gear is in the process of being donated to impoverished areas around the world.
Per Darren Rovell of ESPN, 49ers Super Bowl merchandise is currently being donated to Worldvision, a Christian humanitarian organization that will then distribute the clothing to nations such as Zambia, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Armenia and Romania.
According to Rovell, most of the merchandise is composed of T-shirts and sweatshirts.
Worldvision has been working with the NFL for nearly twenty years, beginning in the mid-90s. Retailers are not allowed to sell merchandise proclaiming the losing team to be the Super Bowl champion.
Jeff Fields, the corporate relations director for Worldvision, told Rovell the record amount of items donated following a Super Bowl came in 2008 when about 100,000 pieces of New England Patriots 19-0 gear was donated to the organization.
