I would have put DC Todd Bowles from the AZ Cardinals on this list. His defense kept the Cards in it until the very last minute in the toughest division in all of football. And his defense handed the Seahawks their only home loss in two years. Although I hope he stays with the Cards. If Palmer can stop throwing pick we'll have a really good team
Bill is going nowhere soon so if you are a coach of any kind on the Patriots and a head coaching job is offered, take it .All you have to do is look into the eyes of Belichick as he is running off the field after a win. The man loves what he is doing and for sure wants to go out as the best coach of all time. So no there is nobody waiting in the back ground to replace him, not for at least 10 more years or death .
@ChrisTrapasso Patricia is rumored to have been told they would like him to be the successor to BB and BB has been grooming him as such
@ChrisTrapasso mike zimmer?
@ChrisTrapasso I don't know if you read Collision Low Crossers but Pettinne comes off really good in that book. He will be a great job 1day
@ChrisTrapasso Hue Jackson!
@burr36........So what?? What difference does color make............either you're qualified or not? Either you have the coaching background and dedication it takes or not. Quit trying to make it a race thing!! What if the NFL was "required" to have a certain percentage of white running backs?? Let's just talk about who has talent and who doesn't and quit trying to bring race into everything when it doesn't meet your personal preference.
@burr36Any geek can coach, but it takes talent to play. As well, as a rule, it's not the best players who make the best coaches. Plus, when most of these guys were coming into the coaching ranks, there was a much higher percentage of white players. (Most HC's have been at it for 20-30 years.) Finally, the percentage of black jocks who blow off the schooling part of HS and college is depressingly high. At the NFL level, it isn't any longer possible to fake it until you make it, not in coaching or administration.
@burr36 Ironic that Frazier gets the axe and Lovie Smith is suddenly back.
@RandyHayes Just heard a comment that no former Detroit head coach got another Head Coaching position. Isn't that strange considering how these head coaches are usually just rotated to different cities it seems??
