Flyovers at sporting events to end

On March 10, the last flyover in American sports will occur before a NASCAR race in Las Vegas, at least for now. Due to the financial sequester, which begins taking effect once President Obama signs the required paperwork by 11:59 tonight, national spending cuts will begin taking effect, including cutting the money that is spent on flyovers at sporting events.

In case you're wondering, the flyover in Las Vegas probably won't be the last time you'll ever see a flyover. For the immediate future, however, they'll be out of the picture.

Michelle Beadle isn't comfortable using tax dollars to fund the flyovers, and in this case, I'll side with her, although we'll leave it at that.
